SH-SY5Y-Nuc Description
Nuclear extract obtained from SH-SY5Y cells. Can be used for transcription and splicing in vitro assays.
The cell line SH-SY5Y is a thrice-cloned neuroblastoma, which is genetically female (has two X chromosomes, but no Y); the original line was established from a bone marrow biopsy. This cell line is used in studies of apoptosis and neuroprotection as an in vitro model of human neuronal cells.
