Lentivirus Vectors
Lin28, KLF4, Oct4 and Nanog, which play essential roles in the induction of pluripotent stem cells, have been cloned in pLenti-III vector under control of CMV, PGK or UbC promoters.
Vectors with three different promoters (CMV, PGK and UbC) can be used for subcloning genes of interest. CMV is commonly used immediate early cytomegalovirus enhancer/promoter element. Phosphoglycerate kinase promoter (PGK) often employed in yeast expression vectors has very high efficiency. Human Ubiquitin C (UbC) promoter has been demonstrated to direct high level recombinant protein expression in various mammalian cell lines.
