Custom Recombinant Lentivirus Production
Recombinant lentiviral vectors are very powerful tools for stable gene transfer to both dividing and non-dividing cells in vitro and in vivo. We use proprietary pLenti-Combo packaging mix and highly efficient protocol for rapid production of recombinant lentiviral vectors with titers up to 109IU/ml. You can either send us your construct for the virus particle production or let us make the construct in the backbone of our Lentivirus Vectors.
In-frame fusion constructs with tags, such as HA, His, and V5, as well as with fluorescent proteins mKate2, EGFP and mCherry can be made.
The following information is required for the packaging of the lentivirus construct provided by you:
- Map of the lentivirus construct. Different lentiviral vector sources require different packaging mix. Please provide us with the vector information so we can package the virus accordingly.
- Name of the GOI, accession number, etc.
- We accept the lentiviral vector DNA at a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 μg/μL.
- Preferably the DNA should be amplified in DH5α cells. If your plasmid has been amplified in a different competent cell type, please let us know.
- Please submit in your inquiry to: support@capitalbiosciences.com
Standard delivery time for the 106 Titer lentivirus is 14 business days from the date of receiving the DNA. If DNA amplification is required, delivery of the custom lentivirus is 14-21 business days.
Turnaround time for subcloning and construction of custom vectors varies, depending on the availability of compatible cloning sites, tags requested and GOI size.
Viral titers for preparations of >106 IU/ml will be determined by qRT-PCR.
